How do I know if a story is true?
It is told over and over again without the main points changing.
The who….the what….the when…..the where….the important facts don’t change.
The color of a thing may change from one person telling the story or a repeating of the story from the original story-teller, the temperature in a room, the design of a building….but, if it is not crucial to the theme leading to the event to prove something….it, does not matter.
How do I know if a person is not being sincere?
They fidget, or nervously pick at their nails or hair or teeth. They pour on the
flattery, they overemphasize, they exaggerate, they belittle or try to intimidate you.
They may turn the attention or blame back to you somehow. They are good at it.
How do I know one person has more experience than another for a job?
I look at their resume, and check their history. I contact people I trust who may
know them. I look at samples of work they have done. I see if there has been
any complaints. I read their reviews. I ask questions about their experience to see
how they handle my questions. Do they get irritated or are they enthusiastic?
Now it is your turn…..
Have you done the work? Have you studied the case? Have you been a witness
to the crime? Have you exhausted all your resources? Have you read the reports?
Have you listened to your Creator? Have you said your prayers?
If you have peace…..if you are convinced……if you have no bias or reason to misjudge
this thing that you are about to do…….sign the contract, marry the person, plead the case, buy the property, deliver the verdict……..VOTE FOR YOUR PRESIDENT!
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
