America’s Founders created a brilliant system for electing a President. They ensured truly representative elections by balancing the interests of small states versus large states, rural versus urban areas, and one region versus another. The Electoral College is the key to that representative balance. Today, the Electoral College is under the most severe attack in our nation’s history.
Progressives have convinced many states to agree to the National Popular Vote (NPV), which is a scheme to end the Electoral College without amending the Constitution. Each state’s electors wouldn’t vote for the candidate who won their state. Instead, the state’s electors would vote for whoever won the national popular vote.
This scheme is 73 percent of the way to succeeding—and changing American elections for generations. Under the “national popular vote,” the person in the White House would be chosen by population-dense urban areas and states. Rural areas and smaller cities would get virtually no voice in choosing their President. (Heritage Foundation-www.askheritage.org)
Who says it doesn’t matter if you vote or not? Elections matter….even to Christians who think to stay out of political debate and the voting process is the right thing to do. I am surprised and shocked how many I know that won’t even go to the polls.
I talked to my sister the other day who lives out of state. She always calls and tells me the bad news of the day and what her Pastor tells her to read in the Bible and so on. I talked about the upcoming pick President Trump has to make for a Supreme Court Justice to replace the honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg who recently died.
Her first words to me were, “Well, I hope he doesn’t choose a woman!” I said, “Why not?”
“Well, they are easily deceived like Eve was.” I thought….how small her thinking is, and then
reminded her of plenty of strong women in the Bible God used to bring his message to the world. Women like, Ruth and Naomi, Rahab the prostitute, Deborah the wise and courageous judge, Esther who came before the King to save her nation and became Queen of Persia….Mary, the mother of our Lord.
We all really know so little. There is so much we could learn about anything. We are wise to not be quick to judge what we hear and see firsthand, especially what is on our screens. We make judgements before all the facts are in. We believe the lies of our most favorite guest host who is commentating at the time. Or only listen to what is told to us from the pulpit.
We all need to practice restraint, to let due process unfold. It is not easy, but we must learn to hold our tongues, and stand up for truth, justice and the rule of law. No matter what it may cost us. We need people of courage like no other time in our nation. It begins at home.
I go to church, when there was a day we could, to get some encouragement. It used to be that the biggest story on the news was at least touched upon in any given sermon just to settle the congregation and bring us some peace. Now I am annoyed and disturbed when events that are clearly from the hand of evil are skirted around and not discussed by Pastors, at least not in the white communities.
Too many Pastors live in fear of loosing congregation members, I think, so issues that may be divided or controversial, are ignored. It does not matter if it is about a baby that survived and abortion and left to die on the gurney, or if tow police officers are ambushed in their vehicles, shot point blank. Police and babies can now be discarded like tissue in our society.
Our society, economy and spirit of the nation is being broken down and so many feel hopeless, yet churches are still closed, but for small groups and outdoor settings. It is not enough. People are hurting. Souls are being lost. 6,000,000 million black babies aborted each year. There have been 565 homicides in Chicago this year as of September 26,2020.
Black congregations have many black pastors…..not all, that are unafraid to speak to support the evil in our times, not condemn it. These black pastors are paid to promote the liberal agenda. Other institutions as well, have been given money, such as our public schools and our government agencies to march lock in step with the political leftist agenda.

I don’t mean to sound cynical but there are people that hate our country as it is. People who are elected officials and serving in Congress…and others..so many others. They want to erase our history because they hate our history. They want the poor to be rich and the rich to be poor. They think there is a way we can all be equal. Equality does not exist. If you work hard, you will gain the fruit of your labor. If you are slothful, you will go hungry.
There are those that just want your vote to gain power. They care nothing for you. They lie and will promise you free everything…free college, free food, free housing, free healthcare….
But, the money to pay for this does not grow on trees. They have to take from tax payer dollars. They have to take from one bucket what they might put into another bucket. It is economics 101. It is not freedom. It is slavery.
In order for those who hate America to accomplish such a feet as giving you all the free stuff
you want, they will have to change the rules for everyone. We won’t be able to use as much electricity as we want, drive our cars as much, they will tell us when we can shop, and what goes on the shelves. We will no longer have hundreds of choices, but instead, maybe two.
We won’t be able to go to the dentist or doctor when we want and get the procedure we want. There will be long lines and waiting lists and doctors they choose. They will decide who gets the operation, who gets the medicine, who gets to live or die. Abortion will be the norm and even mandated to keep the population down. We won’t be able to eat meat because of the carbon output it takes to raise the meat and process it.
There will be no religious practices, nothing sacred because we don’t want to offend anyone. God will not be mentioned anywhere. News will all be propaganda and rhetoric. People will have lost their spirit to produce, to dream, to invent, to protect their homes and property. Only those in power will have guns.
These end times we are living in is when our brothers and sisters need us the most. Be “salt” and “light” for this generation. If you don’t think you have what it takes to run for your school board, city council, mayor to your town, governor or any higher position than vote. Participate in elections to support candidates.
It is a civic privilege and right we have as citizens of the USA. Vote for the person you deem holds the highest promise to get the job you want done, and that has the most ethical and moral character. Learn who these people are that are running for any office. We get to hire them. They work for us.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16)
